IAMC CELEBRATES FIVE YEARS OF GROWTH
Association Proves Its Competitive Edge and Staying Power

ATLANTA, June 2007 — This month, the Industrial Asset Management Council (IAMC) celebrates its fifth anniversary. In the five years since its inception, IAMC — the leading association of industrial asset management and corporate real estate executives, their suppliers and service providers, and economic developers — has grown its membership base to more than 455 members. This represents a sustained growth of more than 16 percent annually.

"In addition to offering a host of top-notch, practical benefits, IAMC is the right size to foster a true professional community," said Scott Reed, chair of IAMC, and site development engineer for Anheuser-Busch Companies, Inc. "IAMC members are friends and trusted colleagues, due in part to the fact that IAMC works to foster quality relationship-building opportunities every chance we get."

IAMC also offers its members a broad array of benefits unparalleled in the industry, including:

  • Professional Development Opportunities — IAMC offers two forums per year dedicated to providing practical take-home value on timely issues relevant to corporate real estate management. Held in conjunction with IAMC Professional Forums, the association also offers Research Roundtables and Leadership Development Seminars twice yearly.
  • Communications — IAMC offers several hard-copy and online resources to help members keep informed on the industry, including: a Web site; a monthly newsletter; research publications; and Site Selection magazine, the official publication of IAMC.
  • Regions — Seven geographical regions offer networking and educational opportunities tailored to the specific needs of local IAMC membership.
  • Surplus Property Clearinghouse — IAMC offers its Active Members an exclusive Web-based tool to share information on surplus industrial and manufacturing properties.
  • IAMC Research Series — IAMC regularly develops industry-relevant Research Reports, which are sent to IAMC members at no additional cost. Recent reports include: Organizational Patterns in Manufacturing and Industrial Corporate Real Estate; and Outsourcing in the Corporate Real Estate Function — A Manufacturing Perspective.
  • Board Certificate in Industrial Real Estate (BCIR) — Offered exclusively to IAMC members, BCIR is the most comprehensive real estate course series available for the industrial real estate industry.
"IAMC was founded by 12 professionals looking for a truly member-focused organization dedicated to providing the highest quality educational resources and networking opportunities in the industry. The association has been driven by that founding ideal ever since," said Reed. "The fact that the organization has thrived beyond our expectations from five years ago to today can only be attributed to the success of holding to and exceeding that vision."
