2006 Honors and Accolades
Joy Pooler Recognized for Exceptional Contributions
Through Service Related to the Practice of Economic Development
Acknowledging Joy Pooler for achieving unusual stature in the field of economic development and closely related disciplines, the International Economic Development Council (IEDC) presented its Fellow Membership Designation to Pooler at IEDC's Annual Conference in September.
"The term 'unusual stature' characterizes a member's significant contributions to the profession through service to IEDC and/or academic endeavors directly related to the practice of economic development," said Joseph A. Marinucci, IEDC chairman. "Ms. Pooler serves as a prime example of one who fully embodies this designation."
Cathy Pierce Named Co-Chair of the GSAE Leadership Task Force
An active member of the Georgia Society of Association Executives (GSAE), Cathy Pierce was recently named co-chair of the Leadership Task Force for 2006-2007.
Founded in 1917, GSAE is dedicated to the advancement of the profession of association management and to enhancing the professionalism of association executives.
