Welcome to Memphis, Music and More ...
Throughout 2004, Memphis is celebrating 50 years of Rock 'n' Roll. IAMC's Forum Partner, the Tennessee Economic Partnership, invites you to join the celebration on Sunday evening, September 26, for a grand evening of nostalgia, good food and music.
The evening will begin with a reception at the Rock 'n' Soul Museum where you may meander through Memphis' musical past. The group will then gather for a spectacular Memphis-style dinner in the grand lobby of the brand new, musically themed FedEx Forum.
After dinner, continue the celebration by taking a short stroll to famous Beale Street, where Jazz, Blues and Rock 'n' Roll abound. |

Dr. Robert Berger was a distinguished pilot in the U. S. Air Force and later a U.S. Air Force Academy flight instructor prior to becoming a leadership consultant. Human factors training is among his specialties. During the Leadership Seminar, he will guide participants through a fun Organizational Maze. The exercise will emphasize individual leadership styles and strategic thinking.

Supply Chain Teaming With Corporate
Real Estate
To Leverage Company Success
Mark your calendars for IAMC's next Research Roundtable: Supply
Chain Teaming With Corporate Real Estate To Leverage Company Success.
This will take place Sept. 29 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the
Memphis Professional Forum.
Supply Chain planning and scheduling
are challenging and complex and corporate real estate's opportunity
to leverage closer ties with the supply chain is great. These synergies
will be discussed in the context of:
Partnering to meet segregation-of-duty
requirements under Sarbanes-Oxley,
Driving indirect-spend reduction
initiatives,
Mergers, acquisitions and consolidations,
Shorter cycle times,
Specialized packaging and delivery
requirements,
Increased customization of
products,
Product line and stock keeping
unit (SKU) proliferation,
Globalization,
Greater outsourcing of manufacturing
operations and logistics,
Co-managed inventory programs,
and
Agile manufacturing initiatives.
Corporate real estate is a crucial
supply-chain component: people, production facilities, inputs, work-in-process
and finished goods all occupy space partially or wholly provided
and managed by the function. Yet, not all real estate executives
are engaged as part of the supply chain management team.
The purpose of this Research Roundtable
is to identify emerging supply chain management trends and, working
within small groups of corporate real estate executives, develop
strategies and tactics corporate real estate can use to team with
the supply chain. At least half of the Roundtable's time will be
spent in small-group discussion and interaction.
Memphis is a logistics hub with outstanding
local technical resources, such as FedEx, other major logistics
companies and the University of Memphis, which offers degree programs
in supply chain management. We are making arrangements to engage
these resources for the Research Roundtable.
This program is reserved for corporate
end-users, including IAMC Active members and nonmembers who qualify
for this membership.
Sign up today.
Space is limited. Don't miss this opportunity to add this skill
set to your corporate real estate toolkit.
