Tuesday Morning Keynote Address – No Assembly Required: The Future of Global Manufacturing

IAMC Favorite Peter Zeihan, geopolitical strategist, returns to IAMC this fall to address The Future of Global Manufacturing.

The world of manufacturing is an endlessly specialized venture, with most manufacturers sourcing components from scores of facilities across a dozen or more countries. But what if the ability to sail components from site to site became compromised? What if capital availability proves insufficient to update industrial bases as technology evolves? What if intermediate and end markets become less desirable – or less accessible? All that and more is about to happen, which signals the end of manufacturing as we know it. The successful manufacturers of the future will be those who can command access to raw materials, capital, labor and markets – all in the same location.

Wednesday Morning Keynote Address – Ubuntu: Three Questions to Change How You Work, Live and Lead

In his highly inspiring keynote, Shola Richards, author of Go Together, will introduce the transformative concept of Ubuntu (pronounced, "oo-BOON-too") which translates to "I am, because we are."

The Ubuntu philosophy, along with three powerful questions, will provide participants with actionable strategies to transform their work culture, amplify team civility, and inspire themselves and others to consistently bring their best to their work.

Participants will leave with:

  • The three key questions that they need to ask themselves to increase the likelihood of civil, engaged, and productive work culture.
  • The answers to the most common objections to beginning the important (and challenging) work of positively transforming their work culture.
  • The self-awareness to become mindful of how their words, actions, and behaviors affect others.
