A recognized international expert in foreign trade, regional integration and international relations, during his 20-year tenure as Undersecretary of Foreign Trade of the Ministry of Economy, Mr. Baker Pineda has held various positions including Director General for North America, Chief of Staff to the Secretary of Economy, and Deputy Chief Negotiator for Mexico of the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP). During his presentation, Mr. Pineda will delve into the USMCA and its implications for Mexico; how the agreement might impact goods labeled as "Mexican" that involve Chinese investment or parts and the potential for the USMCA to boost Mexican manufacturing through increased investment and production.
