The Farm
9000 S. 68th Street Franklin, WI

Hunger Task Force
8:30 - 1:00 P.M.

The Farm
The Hunger Task Force operates a 208-acre farm to grow more than 500,000 pounds of fresh produce for Milwaukee’s hungry. Last year, Hunger Task Force delivered more than 9 million pounds of food to serve Milwaukee’s community.

Additionally, Harley-Davidson has been a strong supporter of the Hunger Task Force Farm since 2012.  In 2018, Harley-Davidson announced that they would keep their commitment to the community a priority, helping Milwaukeeans in need with another 3-year sponsorship of The Farm!

 Mission Statement:
Hunger Task Force believes that every person has a right to adequate food obtained with dignity. We work to prevent hunger and malnutrition by providing food to people in need today and by promoting social policies to achieve a hunger free community tomorrow.

 Core Values:
Our core values are justice, compassion, stewardship and dignity. Our goal and mission is to end hunger in our community and state.

Here’s what you will be doing:

  • Volunteers will help farmers with a variety of activities: seeding, transplanting, weeding, trail restoration, invasive species maintenance, harvesting and washing produce.
  • Activity requires lifting, twisting, bending, and volunteers to be on their feet for the entire three-hour activity.
  • Closed-toe sturdy shoes must be worn – no sandals.
  • This activity is primarily outdoors. In case of severe weather conditions, the project will be canceled.

12:00 - 1:00 P.M. Lunch provided back at the hotel!
