Building a Home for Hyundai: The Strategy Behind Georgia’s Landmark Project
In 2022, Hyundai Motor Group announced a \$5.5 billion investment in its electric vehicle and battery manufacturing facility in Georgia. In 2023, the company’s joint venture with LG Energy Solution added another $2 billion commitment to the project - bringing the total investment to $7.5 billion. This landmark development represents one of the most significant industrial projects in Georgia’s history. With the creation of thousands of new jobs, it is not only reshaping the region’s economy but also transforming its industrial real estate landscape.
This session offers a behind-the-scenes look at the real estate strategy that brought this game-changing development to life. From site selection and infrastructure readiness to workforce access and regional coordination, hear directly from the leaders and experts who played a pivotal role in Hyundai’s location decision.
