The program will begin with a discussion focused on Mexico's economic resilience when facing both potential trade threats and emerging opportunities. Key areas will include analysis of absorption data and the factors that have influenced the absorption; the impact of new US government policies; Mexico's fundamental strengths for attracting Foreign Direct Investment (FDI); the effect of Peso devaluation on manufacturing competitiveness and a review of significant investment activities and trends that have occurred in Mexico during the past six months, considering both domestic and foreign investments across various sectors.

Program 3: Navigating Mexican Trade: Customs, Tax, Trump Policies & USMCA 2026
This session will delve into Mexico's evolving customs and tax landscape in 2025, considering recent regulatory changes implemented in January 2025. It will also cover the upcoming renewal of the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA) in June 2026 and will analyse the implications of the Trump administration's policies on trade with Mexico, alongside current threats and opportunities. Finally, we will explore Mexico’s long-term development plan towards 2030, often referred to as "Plan Mexico." This ambitious strategy, unveiled in January 2025, outlines key economic goals such as positioning Mexico among the top 10 global economies and increasing the investment-to-GDP ratio.
