Momentum Building Across IAMC
By J. Tate Godfrey, CEcD, President & CEO
IAMC tracks a wide range of metrics throughout the year. These indicators help us understand the overall health of the association and often offer an early glimpse into the future.
Now that we are nearing the end of the first quarter of 2026, I would like to share a few highlights that point to a very positive trajectory for IAMC.
On February 26, IAMC held the first Local meeting of the year in Ft. Worth/Dallas, Texas. We had 59 total attendees including 13 corporates – strong numbers for this traditional IAMC location. Just as encouraging were the attendee survey results. The three programs on the agenda received an average rating of 9.31, while the networking environment scored an impressive 9.56, reinforcing the value of the connections that make IAMC events so meaningful.
I am particularly proud of the work that Andi Rawls and her committee are doing to strengthen our programming. These ratings reflect a very positive trend in the quality and relevance of our educational offerings as we move through 2026.
We are also seeing strong engagement through our virtual programming. On February 18, our Corporate Connect session on Decarbonization Strategies for Industrial Users brought together 26 corporate members and earned a program rating of 9.14, with participants indicating the discussion was a valuable use of their time.
A third metric that I would like to highlight is our corporate member retention percentage. In February, retention rose to 72.8%, up from 68% at the end of 2025. While there is still room for improvement, we think this is an indicator of better engagement with our corporate members and their educational needs.
Finally, we are seeing strong momentum for the upcoming Spring Forum in Little Rock with more than 400 registrations including 100 corporate members. The Forum promises to have great attendance, solid programming, impressive keynote presentations and IAMC’s signature knowledge-sharing and networking.
Taken together, these indicators point to a strong start to the year and an exciting road ahead. I look forward to continuing this momentum with all of you throughout 2026.
Tate.
