Program Overview
Keynote Presentation:Economic Integration in North America and Energy Policy in Mexico
Mexico has the opportunity to support decisively the integration of the economic bloc of the Free Trade Agreement between Mexico, the United States and Canada (USMCA or TMEC in Spanish). The economic recovery of the three nations and the intention to substitute imports from Asia in the North American region, open historic industrial opportunities for Mexico. However, there is a shortage in future electricity supply for new large projects in various regions (greater than 0.5 Megawatts). The intention of the recent public policy to strengthen the Federal Electricity Commission (CFE in Spanish) should be complemented with initiatives that guarantee an adequate electricity supply, with good quality and low price for the industry. Join this long overdue gathering of the industry in Mexico City for what promises to be some great debate and discussion!
