Program Overview

The Power of Public Redevelopment: Why it's Strategic and Important
The Port
of Greater Cincinnati Development Authority (The Port) is a public agency that utilizes its bonding authority and real estate risk tolerance to assist local developers in ensuring that every acre of Hamilton County, Ohio, is productively used. From complex acquisitions to complicated clean-ups, explore why involving public partners in industrial real estate projects is a tactical benefit for your municipality.
Speaker:

Chris Meyer, AIA, LEED AP, Director of Industrial Development, The Port of Greater Cincinnati Development Authority

The Intersection of Economic Development and Site Strategy
REDI Cincinnati is the Cincinnati region’s lead economic development agency. A key issue to winning economic development projects is proactive initiatives with site development. This session will offer a regional overview of site search demand and highlight for attendees three successful ecosystem partners executing site development initiatives. REDI will discuss site development, then panelists will each outline important site initiatives.
Panelists:
Andrea Pinho, Director, Site Selection and Real Estate, REDI Cincinnati Sites and Real Estate team
Jeremy Worley, Client Relations Manager, BENKY
Larisa Sims, Director of Business Administration, Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport (CVG)
Michele Blair, Director, Economic Development City of Mason, OH

Automation, Labor and OpEx
With ever-increasing technological advances, we are faced with the juxtaposition of chasing labor while exploring the efficiencies that automation brings to industrial settings. Meanwhile, the reduction of labor poses challenges to both the economy and society. This open discussion centers on those challenges and their impacts on the shifting analysis by economic developers to reengineer their models to provide meaningful incentives in the face of lower job creation.

Speaker:
Carl Quesinberry, Senior Director, Global Corporate Services, Avison Young Consulting
