If you are only worried about reducing the rental rate, you are probably leaving money on the table. We will discuss disruptive approaches to real estate that will help turn a real estate transaction into money.  Some companies use these strategies with long-term leases to enhance their bottom line.

Through review of inventory stocking levels relative to demand, production and procurement lead times, transportation and DC fixed and variable costs, this project developed a network distribution model of fulfillment center, supply points and customer base and created consolidation options that reduced the supply chain facility footprint from 28 facilities down to six, while improving key service levels.

With the transition to the new Lease Accounting Standards, the process of managing leases presents new challenges for corporate portfolios. The financial and timing impacts of leases from both a compliance reporting and cost standpoint will become major focus areas. This session will provide the basis for discussions on centralized vs decentralized lease administration, new lease vs own analysis, improving lease contracts, alternative financing structures and utilizing technology to improve data quality and process.

All parties enter into incentive agreements with the best intentions, but business needs change, occasionally resulting in a company not being in a position to fulfill its obligations. Companies and government agencies should be prepared for that scenario and take preemptive steps to avoid a company defaulting on the agreement. In this session, the speakers will provide an interactive and entertaining review of do’s and don’ts when renegotiating agreements to save a project gone sideways. The speakers will provide recommendations for structuring effective and flexible incentive agreements on the front end of a project based on their professional experience working with a broad range of companies and projects.
