Program Overview
General Session 1: How to Navigate through Winds of Change - Location and footprint strategies in response to global disruption
Interrupted supply chains due to major recent global waves of disruption including pandemic impacts (COVID-19), natural disasters (drought, forest fires, etc.), war and geopolitical conflict, products shortages, trade tariffs, etc. require companies to constantly rethink their manufacturing and supply chain footprints in order to mitigate risk, with topics such as resiliency and onshoring / nearshoring, sustainability, workforce planning, … high on the agenda of corporate strategies. How are companies dealing with all this disruption, and what changes are they making to their global footprints ? What are the key drivers for this footprint reconfiguration, and how do they impact location strategy?
