C-Suite Spotlight: The High Value of Diversity in Today’s Economy

Tim-Dismond-300

Speaker:
Tim Dismond
Chief Responsibility Officer, CBRE

Diversity and inclusion efforts today have become top of mind at most companies, and commercial real estate has not been immune from the process. Recent months have been marked by internal and external discussions throughout the industry on how a notoriously white male-dominated industry can improve its diversity and inclusion. It’s also resulted in some firms making structural changes to foster the process. One high-profile move came from brokerage behemoth CBRE Group Inc., which promoted Tim Dismond to become the company’s first chief diversity officer (and later Chief Responsibility Officer). Notably, the position has been made part of CBRE’s Executive Committee, which is the group of 12 global executives that drives the firm’s business strategy and reports directly to CEO Bob Sulentic.

Tuesday Morning Keynote Address

Does This Economic Cycle Still Have Legs? What Are the Risks and Opportunities Ahead?

bernard-baumohl637358714526280877

Speaker:
Bernard Baumohl
Chief Global Economist at the Economic Outlook Group

Rarely have business leaders and investors confronted so much uncertainty about the future. Simply put, we live in a crisis-prone global economy. There is political paralysis in Washington, economic distress in Europe, dangerous conflicts in the Middle East and Eastern Europe, and rising tensions in Asia. You can almost hear the geopolitical pot boiling furiously. Yet the sobering fact is corporate managers and investors still need to make decisions — and be able to justify them. Mr. Baumohl tackles all the key issues: Which shocks are most likely to erupt in the future? What implications will they have for the economy? How can you protect your business with so many global storms brewing?

Leading with Spark: Creating a Culture Where Everyone Matters

SimonBailey

Speaker:
Simon T. Bailey
Leadership Imagineer

Transformational leaders are divergent thinkers who refuse to settle to a status quo culture. They are relentless in creating an environment where everyone belongs and brings their best selves to work.

This is a conscious, inclusive mindset that fosters growth, high performance and trust. Culture is more that the mission and vision of the organization. Culture happens when no one is looking. As business changes at the speed of light, an organization’s culture will only stand the test of time if it’s built on the right foundation.

Join Simon T Bailey for an exploration of forward-thinking leaders and culture – the game changer that attracts talent, engages customers, and establishes a brand in the next decade.
